The Reform Cycle

Global learning in retrospect.

Over the past sixty years, learning has been repeatedly reshaped by ambitious reform movements, each carrying its own hopes for a better future. From universal schooling and Education for All to today's debates around artificial intelligence, every cycle has held a particular vision of what learning could achieve.

Through conversations with policymakers, practitioners and others behind these reforms, the series explores the times in which they were made, how ambitions fared once they met the world, and what remains of them now.
